'Queen of Tejano' Selena to receive star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Texas-born Tejano singer Selena will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017.

The bilingual singer was shot and killed in 1995 by a fan who became a business associate. Selena was 23 years old.

The popular singer, whose full name was Selena Quintanilla, was known as the Queen of Tejano music and one of the most successful Latin music artists of her time.

According to E News, along with Selena, other musicians set to receive a star include John Legend, Ice Cube, 'N Sync and New Edition.
