The music world is mourning the loss of an iconic musician and actor in David Bowie.
He passed away Sunday, succumbing after an 18-month battle with cancer.
Even if you weren't a fan there are songs that nearly every one knows that he wrote and performed.
Here are the top five in no particular order:
"Heroes," which appeared on the album of the same name, was released in 1977.
"Under Pressure," written and performed with Queen, came out in 1981 and appeared on the Queen album "Hot Space."

"Little Drummer Boy" was performed in by Bowie and Bing Crosby in 1982 and has been a Christmas staple ever since

"Changes" was released on the 1971 album "Hunky Dory."
"Space Oddity" was the actual name for the song that some may call "Ground Control to Major Tom." It was released in 1969 just days before the the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. It appeared on the self-titled album "David Bowie."

Along with the five iconic songs, Bowie released the video for his latest song "Lazarus," last Thursday.
