The family of slain singer Christina Grimmie on Thursday released the first in a series of music videos recorded by the artist in February for her "Side A" EP.

In the 6-and-a-half-minute-long video for Grimmie's song "Snow White," she plays the character Jessica Blue – a struggling artist who turns to her friends for relationship advice.

The video is the first of four expected in the coming weeks form Grimmie's EP. Her manager, Brian Teefey, said in July that the videos are part of a mini-series titled "The Ballad of Jessica Blue," which focuses on the character's "journey to find her voice and her path in life only to find they are one in the same."

The videos were recorded earlier this year before Grimmie kicked off her "WildFire" tour.

"Everyone worked so hard on this project, putting in extra-long days on set to ensure we got the best quality project we could for the minimal budget we had," Teefey wrote. "I couldn't be more proud of her and everyone involved for the labor of love that was put into this project."

The video for Grimmie's song "Anybody's You," is set to be released on Aug. 18.

Grimmie gained national fame in 2014 while competing on "The Voice." She went on to place third in the singing competition.

She was fatally shot in June following a concert in Orlando by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl, who killed himself after attacking Grimmie.
