According to Daily Mail, the new 007 movie has already spent an estimated £24 million—that's $34 million—destroying cars for stunts and scenes. That means the newest James Bond installment is the most expensive of the series to date.

“We set the record for smashing up cars on ‘Spectre,’” chief stunt coordinator Gary Powell told Event Magazine. “In Rome, we wrecked millions of pounds worth. They were going into the Vatican at top speeds of 110 mph. We shot one entire night for four seconds of film.”

According to Complex, filmmakers wrecked seven specially designed Aston Martin sports cars and also shot a scene that features an airplane plummeting through a barn and crashing into the villain's Land Rover before ending in fiery chaos.

“Spectre” will be released in theaters on Nov. 6. The official trailer is below.
