Lamar Odom has checked into rehab
Just over a year after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel, former NBA player Lamar Odom has checked himself into a rehab facility, according to E! News.
Odom was found unconscious -- reportedly because of a drug overdose -- at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, in October 2015. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
The news comes after his ex-wife, Khloé Kardashian, filed for divorce a second time after putting initial divorce plans on hold when Lamar was hospitalized.
Kardashian originally filed for divorce in December 2013. CNN reported that the second filing was finalized Friday.
"It was his own decision. He wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life," an unnamed source told E! News. "He has not fallen off the wagon, but he understands the importance of maintaining his sobriety."
According to E!, Odom is at a rehabilitation center in San Diego, California.
