ROSWELL

Drum Circle at Chattahoochee Nature Center

You don’t have to go on tour with Widespread Panic or pitch a tent at Bonnaroo to join a drum circle. Professional drummer Chuck Cogliandro oversees the beat at the center’s last drum circle event of the year. But you don’t have to be a seasoned rhythm master to join in on the rumbling. Folks of all skill levels are invited, and spectators are welcome to watch and groove to the beat. Remember it’s BYOD, bring your own drum or rhythm instruments. An even bigger event drops the next day, Sept. 28. Primitive Skills — Thrive in the Wild shares tips and tricks on how primitive cultures lived off the land. It features an afternoon of hands-on activities, storytelling and more. Primitive Skills is included with center admission ($6-$10).

8 p.m. Sept. 27. $5 donation requested. Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Road, Roswell. 770-992-2055 ext. 237, www.chattnaturecenter.org.
