Go to a dog park

“Pete the Cat” at Center for Puppetry Arts

Based on the popular series created by illustrator James Dean, Center for Puppetry Arts’s production of “Pete the Cat” runs through May 28. Atlanta native Eric Litwin wrote the original book in the series, “Pete the Cat: I Love my White Shoes.”

Ribbit the Exhibit 

Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Gainesville location is currently hosting 23 frog sculptures from North Carolina artist Andy Cobb. The exhibit features meditating frog sculptures and even one of an amphibian painting.

Desiigner

Desiigner will bring his infectious energy to Center Stage Theater on April 25. The Brooklyn rapper gained attention after his hit song “Panda” was featured on Kanye West’s “The Life of Pablo” album.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are celebrating their debut album’s 40th anniversary with a tour. After opening in Oklahoma last week, the show is coming to Philips Arena. Join the band and opening act Joe Walsh on Thursday.
