Portman’s new JP Atlanta

In December, famed Atlanta architect John Portman and Blue Orbit Restaurant Consulting are set to debut JP Atlanta, a fine-dining spot at the new Hotel Indigo in downtown Atlanta. The restaurant will feature "classic cooking styles and recognizable ingredients presented in new, interesting and even surprising ways." Ramen at Ration & Dram

Andy Tran, executive sous chef at Lusca, has launched a weekly Thursday night pop-up dubbed Ramen Crush A.T.L. at Ration & Dram in Kirkwood. Starting at 6 p.m., Tran takes over the restaurant all night, or until the ramen sells out. The menu ($6-$12) features two ramen bowls, including one vegetarian selection, plus several small plates. The Ration & Dram charcuterie board is available until midnight, along with the regular drink menu and a special cocktail menu designed to pair with the ramen. Dinner for You, on Drew

Chef Drew Van Leuvan, of Buckhead's Seven Lamps and Midtown's Tavernpointe and Grain, has introduced a dining program that rewards patrons of all three restaurants. Dinner for You, on Drew is a circular dine-around program that offers diners at each restaurant $30 off a food purchase at the next restaurant in the circuit. BoccaLupo closed on Mondays

In a surprise move, chef Bruce Logue has decided to close his critically acclaimed and wildly popular Italian-American neighborhood restaurant, BoccaLupo, on Monday nights as well as Sundays. Since the restaurant opened in May, 2013, Mondays were the time when you often could find some of Atlanta's top chefs enjoying Logue's deft ways with pasta and sampling his special tasting menu.
