During the recent weeks of the pandemic, you've still been able to have your hash browns smothered, covered, scattered, chunked and/or topped — but you just couldn't sit down in the Waffle House to enjoy them.

That changes Monday.

The popular chain has had 330 restaurants that have remained open in Georgia out of approximately 400 restaurants in the state, said Njeri Boss, Waffle House director of public relations. And at those 330 restaurants, she pointed out, customers have been allowed to utilize take-out service only for the past several weeks, and more recently delivery through Waffle House's partnership with Postmates, an on-demand delivery service.

"(Monday) the open stores will add another option for customers when we begin offering limited dine-in service that incorporates the requirements Governor Brian Kemp enumerated in his most recent executive order," Boss said.

Kemp’s latest order requires restaurants to adhere to 39 guidelines, including screening employees for signs of illness, requiring all staffers to wear face coverings at all times and limiting capacity to no more than 10 patrons per 500 square feet. Party sizes at tables are limited to no more than six.
