"Vinings Jubilee Tree Lighting"
Whitefield Academy Jazz Band and Campbell Middle School Chorus, carolers and more will provide live music during the Vinings Jubilee Tree Lighting on Dec. 1. Dance performances, face painting and photos with Santa Claus will take place during this event.

There are a few Atlanta-filmed movies that are in theaters right now. “Almost Christmas” and “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” are two options, per AJC reporter Jennifer Brett’s list of locally filmed movies to see this holiday season.
“A Christmas Story”
"A Christmas Story" will debut at the Fox Theatre this week. Based on the 1983 holiday film of the same name, the musical will stop at the venue Nov. 29-Dec. 4. The production premiered on Broadway in 2012.

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”
Center for Puppetry Arts’ Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is another family-friendly way to celebrate the upcoming holiday with the entire family. After watching the production, head home to revisit the classic television special that it’s based on.

“Holiday Model Train Show”
A family-friendly activity for train lovers, the Holiday Model Train Show at the Atlanta Botanical Garden sends festive trains along six tracks.
