Protests following the death of George Floyd continue to rock Atlanta and the nation. With residents taking to the streets to bring attention to Floyd’s death and the deaths of other black Americans at the hands of police, local celebrities have been using their platforms to take action.
Stars including Chloe x Halle and Usher have posted several resources and calls to action on their Instagram pages amid ongoing demonstrations.

While participating in the music industry's pausing of business as usual, #TheShowMustBePaused, which is part of the Blackout Tuesday movement, duo Chloe x Halle shared ways fans can help.
“we are being heard! keep it going,” they captioned their Instagram post. “remember to vote today if you are in DC, Indiana, Maryland, Montana, Missouri, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota. so proud of us. proud to be black.”
Pointing fans to a link in their Instagram bio, they shared a link for signing petitions, donating and obtaining information for protesters.

Usher also participated in Blackout Tuesday and made several posts about how his fans can donate to bail funds in Atlanta and around the country, vote, become an ally and support black-owned businesses.
Actress Chloe Grace Moretz also posted resources and shared a list of 40 ways people can help as protests against racial injustice continue. They included numbers to text or call for justice in the deaths of Floyd and Breonna Taylor, who was shot eight times by police in her home in Louisville, Kentucky.

“Here’s how to help NOW,” she captioned the post.

Kenan Thompson, who was born in Atlanta, also took to Instagram Tuesday. He urged fans to vote in the presidential primary elections on June 2.
The "Saturday Night Live" star also shared a link on FiveThirtyEight about how to keep an eye on the races.
