Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting System on Tuesday named David Levy to head Turner Network Sales, an expansion of his responsibilities. He will continue to oversee Turner Sports, the company's sports programming acquisitions, production, marketing, league relations and sports advertising sales division.
Levy, 47, had been president of Turner Broadcasting Sales Inc. and president of Turner Sports. He will now be in charge of the distribution of all Turner's domestic news, entertainment and animation and young adults networks and businesses. He reports to Phil Kent, 54, chief executive officer of TBS.
The company said Coleman Breland, 52, former executive vice president of sales and marketing for Turner's distribution sales unit, was promoted to chief operating officer of Turner Network Sales, reporting to Levy.
Andrew Heller, 54, formerly president of domestic distribution for TBS Inc., was promoted to vice chairman of TBS Inc., where he will work within TBS parent Time Warner coordinating its "TV Everywhere" initiative to put more television content on the Internet.
