Broadway stars lend voices to save arts funding with Beatles classic

Stars of the Great White Way put their voices together to help save arts funding endangered by President Donald Trump's proposed budget.

Cast members from hit shows like "Hamilton," "Rent," "Cats," and "Les Miserables" belted out a gospel-like version of the Beatles hit "With a Little Help From My Friends" to help gain support for the National Endowment of the Arts, Billboard reported.

The single was recently released on iTunes and Amazon with all of the profits going to Americans for the Arts.

The push to save funding for the arts has had some big-name support, with Josh Groban and Barbra Streisand tweeting to save arts funding.

There is also a petition on change.org to send a message to Washington on how important many believe arts are to the country.

Trump has proposed to eliminate the National Endowment of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities, CNN and other media outlets have reported.
