According to the Disney Parks Blog, you will be "shrunk" to the size of a toy so you can look around Andy's back yard from the perspective of his famous and well-loved toy friends.

Midway Mania will soon have a third track opened to help get guests through the interactive shooter ride. It is scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend.

Also on the drawing board, Slinky Dog Dash. It is a family coaster with the story that Andy built using the Mega Coaster Play Kit.

A concept video was released during a media event for the parks this week.

The Little Green Men from the Toy Story franchise will also have a ride of their own. It's called Alien Swirling Saucers. The aliens try to use a claw to capture a rocket you command.

Soarin' Around the World

The Soarin' attraction in Epcot currently is closed for upgrades, but during the press event this week, there was a sneak peek of new footage for "Soarin' Around the World." Instead of the recent California-centric film, the ride will swoop over the wonders of the world including the Great Wall of China and Sydney Harbor.

Imagineers offered this clip:

A third screen and interactive queue will also open when the film debuts on June 17 at not only Epcot, but also Disney's California Adventure at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

'Frozen Ever After'

Elsa and Anna will also be at home at Epcot this June. "Frozen Ever After," which will be housed at the Norway pavilion in Epcot, will take visitors on a boat ride as Queen Elsa creates a winter in summer celebration for her kingdom. You will visit trolls and her North Mountain palace before returning to Arendelle. You can also meet Elsa and Anna at their "Royal Sommerhus." The original cast from the movie will lend their voices once again for the ride, which takes the place of the popular Maelstrom ride that had been a park staple since 1988. It closed in 2014 for the "Frozen" upgrade.

Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is not being left out when it comes to upgrades. The park, which usually closed before the sun went down, will be open into the night and will offer visitors the opportunity to ride attractions like "Expedition Everest" and "Kali River Rapids" and "Kilimanjaro Safaris" in the dark.

The Tree of Life will be the focal point for a new nighttime show as animal spirits come to life telling the story of the park.

Elena of Avalor

Disney is introducing its "first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures" this summer. La princesa Elena from the new Disney Channel cartoon "Elena of Avalor" will appear starting in August at Magic Kingdom. The show is scheduled to premier August 1.

Star Wars

Finally, more details have come out concerning the Star Wars land that is under construction at Hollywood Studios. Recently a new live show took the stage called "Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away." It features characters like Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and BB-8.

Fireworks will light up when "Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular" officially launches in June, Disney imagineers announced this week.

Disney also provided a new 360-degree photo of how the new Star Wars Land in California's Disneyland is taking shape.
