Food & Wine reported that the Germany-based grocery store chain will start selling the wine Advent calendar in the United States on Nov. 7.
The wine calendar will contain 24 miniature bottles of red, white and wine, including pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, merlot, malbec and other blends.
Last year's wine Advent calendar, sold only in Europe, contained the equivalent of six bottles of wine.
The cheese Advent calendar which could pair well with the wine, contains 24 different cheese samples leading up to Christmas.
Both specialty Advent calendars will only be available for a limited time. The price of each varies by location. There is a limit of one wine calendar per customer. Cheese calendars are limited to three per customer. The calendars may not be at all stores and are in limited quantities.
