COMING THURSDAY

A Black Friday checklist and last-minute tips.

Doorbusters? Try doorstops.

The Thanksgiving Day Atlanta Journal-Constitution is our biggest newspaper of the year, thanks to a heaping helping of Black Friday ad inserts. This year, the paper weighs in at just under five pounds, with advertisements from up to 82 different retailers.

Tucked among the Black Friday doorbusters are some additional coupons and specials for extra savings. Here are just a few examples of the retailer specials we spotted in the Black Friday ads already on the web:

Bed Bath and Beyond: Between 6 a.m. and noon Friday, get a coupon for 20 percent off your entire purchase. The coupon is valid all day Friday.

Big Lots: All day Thursday, Friday and Saturday, spend $50 and get coupon for $10 off your next purchase.

Kohl's: For every $50 spent, get $15 in Kohl's cash, redeemable Nov. 26-Dec. 3.

Macy's: $10-off coupon for all sale and clearance apparel and home items (totaling $25 or more), valid until 1 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

Michael's: 30 percent off entire purchase, including sale items, during Thanksgiving Day hours (4-11 p.m. Thursday).

Sears: $10 off any purchase of $40 or more spent on clothing, intimates, sleepwear accessories, fragrance or cosmetics.

Stein Mart: Take the scratch-and-save coupon to the store and save $10, $20, $50 or $100 off.

Target: Get a free $10 Target gift card when you spend $50 or more on apparel, accessories and home items.
