Delta is shuttling some of its high-paying passengers to connecting flights in Porsches. Here are some other cars that might make for a fun shuttle run.

Ferrari's latest offering, called LaFerrari, is powered by a 789-horsepower V-12 engine and is capable of reaching a top speed of 220 mph, Ferrari says. Only 499 units will be built, and the price is around $1 million.

The Lamborghini Aventador was introduced in 2011. It is powered by a 690-horsepower V-12 and reaches a top speed of 217 mph. Base price is around $440,000.

The Super Sport version of the Bugatti Veyron is said to be the fastest production car in the world with an estimated top speed exceeding 250 mph. The car's exact horsepower is a topic of debate, but is said to be at least 1,000. The Veyron's base price is about $1.7 million -- and about a million more for the Super Sport.

Can't afford a half-million or more for a car? The Mercedes SLS AMG is available for around $200,000. Its V-8 engine delivers 563 horsepower and it has a top speed of 197 mph. The design of the SLS pays homage to the classic 1954-62 Mercedes-Benz 300SL.

The Porsche 911 Carrera S (that's Maria Sharapova standing on the seat) is another relative bargain. Its flat 6 engine produces 400 horsepower for a top speed of 188. You can buy one for around $100,000.

You might not think of Nissan when you think of exotic cars, but the GT-R can compete with most of them. Its twin-turbo V-6 delivers 550 horsepower, giving it a top speed of around 195 mph. Price is around $100,000.
