Venom Energy will feature Hawks' Johnson

Atlanta Hawks All-Star guard Joe Johnson is featured in a new set of promotions for Venom Energy, the parent company of the beverage announced this week.

He joins a roster of athlete spokesmen that includes Lance Berkman of the Houston Astros, Kenyon Martin of the Denver Nuggets and Pavel Datsyuk of the Detroit Red Wings.

Johnson will be featured in regional marketing material. Look for images of a fiery eyed Johnson under the tag-line "Strike First." Venom Energy is owned by Plano, Texas-based Dr Pepper Snapple Group.
