A valet parking and concierge service at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is shutting down Friday, as airport officials plan for valet service under a new parking contract in the future.

AmeriPark’s GreenCoat Auto Concierge started last year, offering curbside valet parking and services like oil changes and car washes for extra fees while travelers are on their trips. GreenCoat had been parking the cars in a remote parking facility.

The GreenCoat service had attracted some loyal customers. But Hartsfield-Jackson plans to include valet service under a new airport parking contract, which GreenCoat said would have drawn some of its customers away and make it financially unviable to continue.

AmeriPark managing partner Chris Damico said GreenCoat would continue fulfilling existing reservations, but will stop taking new reservations Friday.

Meanwhile, the airport is set to accept proposals from companies competing for the parking contract later this month.
