UPS names IBM exec to its board

UPS has named an IBM executive to its board of directors.

Rodney Adkins is senior vice president of corporate strategy at IBM. The Georgia Tech graduate is a former senior vice president for IBM’s Systems and Technology Group and he has held product management and executive roles at the company, including running IBM’s desktop PC and UNIX Systems businesses.

His appointment, which is effective immediately, expands the Sandy Springs-based package delivery company’s board to 13 directors.
