UPS has launched a mobile application for iPhones and iPod touch devices. The "app" will use GPS to find the nearest UPS location, create shipments using a UPS address book, and calculate shipping rates and transit time. The free software is available at Apple's "App Store."

The Sandy Springs-based company also created an interface for Mac computers, called NRGship Mac. Users can try it  free for 15 days. The software is at www.nrgsoftware.com/ups.
