UPS is adding flights to a new Chinese city, Chengdu, to improve connections between Asia, Europe and the United States.

The city is the capital of the Sichuan province, in Western China, and is growing rapidly, UPS said in a statement. The Sandy Springs logistics company serves 330 Chinese cities and has 200 weekly flights through China.

The new flight begins Monday, and will go from Cologne, Germany to Warsaw, Poland before stopping in Chengdu. It will then continue to Shanghai, where UPS has a hub.

UPS said China is encouraging more production in inland cities, which could lead to accelerated growth there.
