SunTrust officials said online and mobile banking networks are now operational.

SunTrust spokesman Mike McCoy said in an e-mail around 10:30 a.m. that the systems are running again. The bank did not identify a cause of the technical problems.

SunTrust customers reported having trouble Friday morning with web and mobile banking platforms.

The nature of the outages wasn’t immediately clear.

Atlanta-based SunTrust is the largest bank based in Georgia and the state’s largest bank by deposits.

SunTrust told customers on its Facebook page that the online and mobile sites are down and the company is working to fix the unspecified issues.

In an emailed statement, SunTrust said: Our Online and Mobile Banking are currently unavailable, and our technical teams are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Our branches, ATMs and call center are available to assist our clients. We apologize for the inconvenience.
