High-end retailers at Buckhead Atlanta include Hermes, Swiss fashion boutique Akris, Bella Bag, Brunello Cucinelli, men’s clothier Canali, Helmut Lang and Christian Louboutin.

Other developers have launched projects near the Buckhead Atlanta site, including a flagship Restoration Hardware store, center, underway at the former ESPN Zone restaurant.

The future flagship store and new corporate headquarters of shapewear and lingerie maker Spanx.

Developers said the project will feature streets with cobblestones, lush landscaping and broad sidewalks to calm traffic and encourage walking. Buildings rise from a single story along Peachtree Road to 22 stories in height to help connect the area to the surrounding blocks.

Some of the trees on site will be as tall as 35-feet. These oaks in front of future store fronts along Bolling Way are about 22 to 25 feet tall. The trees are designed to provide shade for pedestrians and provide a sense of scale and permanence.

The designers used largely stone, such as limestone and granite, and glass in the building facades.

OliverMcMillan executives Jeff Zeigler and Hunter Richardson stand in front of a model of the project. Zeigler said the company is concentrating on the first phase of development, but a second phase with property along Peachtree Road that includes a former HiFi Buys and a parking lot along Pharr Road could be developed as additional residential, hotels or office space with street-front retail.
