Atlanta-based Timbervest LLC said it has sold more than 10,000 acres of timberland in Florida, South Carolina and Vermont for more than $14.2 million.

The company, which manages timber-related assets and investments, sold about 6,710 acres in Lafayette County, Fla.; 2,416 acres in Kershaw County, S.C.; and 1,243 acres in Washington County, Vt. The sales were made to investment groups.

The company said the woodland was part of its TimbervestPartners I investment fund and it anticipated more sales.
