HD Supply, an Atlanta-based industrial distribution company, has agreed to sell a pipe business.

The Industrial PVF business is being sold to Shale-Inland Holdings LLC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal is expected to close this month.

In a statement, HD Supply CEO Joe DeAngelo said divesting the pipe business is in the best interest of the company as it strengthens its other businesses.

The proceeds of the sale will give HD Supply more financial and strategic flexibility, the company said.
