SunTrust investors approve new board member

SunTrust Banks added the former head of Legg Mason Capital Management to its board of directors.
Kyle Prechtl Legg was elected to the board by shareholders Tuesday. The former bank analyst with Alex Brown & Sons joined Legg Mason in 1991, becoming president in 1997 and later CEO. She is also an Eastman Kodak Co. director.
SunTrust announced her nomination in February. Directors Larry L. Prince and Karen Hastie Williams retired from the board Tuesday.
