Age: 32

Occupation: Special fellow in advanced geriatrics, Department of Veterans Affairs; assistant professor at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Emory University.

What I'm wearing: "A mix-and-match pantsuit: blazer is by Adrienne Vittadini, pants by Focus 2000, shoes by Anne Klein."

Signature style: "Straight legs, clean lines. I do lots of mix-and-match suits because I just need some variety. Too much of one print seems so boring.

“Also, for a short girl, I’m always trying to look as tall as possible. If I look even an inch over 5 feet, it is thanks to heels and strategic fashion.”

Best finds: "Hand-beaded necklaces in so many places. For a few years, there was a small store near my home called Just Bead It that was full of these. Lately, I've found great pieces in stores like Coldwater Creek and Chico's, but they're everywhere; the latest surprise was a back room in my hair salon."

Fashion weakness: "Workout clothes — and for every sport, whether I actually participate or not. Just buying them makes me feel more active and athletic. This habit seems to peak when I peruse catalogs like Athleta."

Favorite stores: "Back by Popular Demand Consignment in Lilburn, closely followed by Stein Mart."

Fashion inspiration: "Mostly, I dress to avoid being mistaken for a student! It's actually a fine line: I need to look professional but I am still a junior faculty. I admire my colleagues who seem to pull this off easily."

Pet peeve: "Mixing brown and black leathers. I rarely see this done well."

Best fashion compliment: "As much as I hate to admit it: being mistaken for a student. I will probably mourn the day that it stops."
