Families headed on trips for summer or over the holidays now have another option to keep kids occupied during the flight.

Southwest Airlines and Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting System announced the airline will add Cartoon Network to its inflight entertainment.

Dallas-based Southwest said the Cartoon Network will be added to the free TV programming on its inflight entertainment portal. Passengers can watch the programs during their flights using their own WiFi-equipped devices. About 80 percent of the carrier’s fleet has WiFi service.

Turner Private Networks president Debbie Cooper said in a written statement that the move “speaks volumes about the value of Cartoon Network and the importance of offering child-friendly content inflight as a viewing option for families during travel.”
