Atlanta-based Southern Co. parent of Georgia Power and other utilities in the Southeast, this week announced several top-level managerial changes.

The company said William Grantham will become vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer for the company’s Southern Power subsidiary. He will assume the role Sept. 1, and he replaces Michael Southern, who has announced plans to retire.

John Trawick, senior vice president of power supply and fuels for the Tennessee Valley Authority, will succeed Grantham in an expanded role of vice president of commercial operations and services, effective Aug. 1. He will assume the responsibilities of Charles Long, vice president of fleet operations and trading, who also announced his retirement.

Southern also said Kimberly D. Flowers will become vice president of engineering for engineering and construction services. Lewis A. Jeffers will succeed Flowers as vice president of technical services for engineering and construction services.
