The U.S. Small Business Administration announced that Cassius Butts was appointed to oversee its programs and services for the region including Georgia.

Butts currently is responsible for marketing, sales and management of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development properties in the region.

SBA Administrator Karen Mills cited Butts' background in education and outreach, business development and public policy.

Butts has degrees from Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University.
