RockTenn chairman named Global CEO of the Year

Jim Rubright, the chairman and chief executive of Norcross-based paperboard and packaging maker was named Global CEO of the Year by Pulp & Paper International, a trade publication. Rubright, named chairman in 1999 and chairman a year later, was cited for his leadership and vision in running the company, which had more than $2.8 billion in sales last year. Earlier this year, he was named one of the top 50 influential executives in the paper and pulp industry by RISI, a firm that tracks and consults on the global forest products industry.
