NCR to bring 1,800 workers to new tower in Midtown Atlanta

NCR confirmed Tuesday that the company will bring an additional 1,800 workers to its new campus being built in Midtown Atlanta.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in August that the company and its development partner, Cousins Properties, planned a second tower on the site, and that NCR is considering shifting more than 1,000 additional workers - and perhaps as many as 1,800 - to the site as part of the project’s second phase.

“Our campus will provide a world-class work environment for all of our metro Atlanta employees and become a technology landmark in one of the city’s fastest growing neighborhoods,” said NCR President, CEO and Chairman Bill Nuti.

NCR announced plans last year to shift its headquarters from Gwinnett County to a new campus at Spring and Eighth streets near Technology Square where it would base about 3,600 workers. The complex remains on schedule to open in early 2018, spokesman Scott Sykes said.
“Georgia is a hotbed for leading technology companies such as NCR because of our extensive technology sector and pro-business climate,” said Gov. Nathan Deal.

NCR has 30,000 employees and does business in 180 countries.
