PointClear Solutions, an Atlanta-based healthcare software development company, said it is acquiring New York-based Worry Free Labs.

Worry Free Labs is a developer of patented mobile apps for use in medicine and public health. The applications allow patients to be more engaged in monitoring their health. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Given the rise of mHealth technology and the increasing importance of patient engagement, we wanted to broaden our design and development offering to include patient-facing applications,” PointClear Chief Executive Officer David Karabinos said in announcing the deal.

Worry Free Labs will operate as a subsidiary of PointClear and will continue to be led by Paul Choi.
