PNC Financial Services Group said Friday it is moving its regional headquarters office to the 12th & Midtown mixed-use development on Peachtree Street.

The Pittsburgh, Penn.-based parent of PNC Bank is leaving its spot at Centergy, on Fifth Street at Technology Square, where it enjoys signage along the Downtown Connector. Its new space will be in the glitzy 1075 Peachtree skyscraper and the move should be finished by year’s end. A spokeswoman said the bank will occupy space on the 17th and 18th floors.

“We’ve hired aggressively across all business lines since we expanded our presence here last year,” said Eddie Meyers, PNC’s Georgia president. “This move gives us more space for our growing team.”

PNC became the eighth-largest bank in metro Atlanta by deposits after its acquisitions of the retail bank of RBC USA and Georgia branches from Flagstar Bank.
