The Atlanta Regional Commission is seeking proposals from firms to develop a blueprint for the Atlanta Aerotropolis.

The idea is to develop a strategic plan for development around Hartsfield-Jackson International, the world’s busiest airport.

The purpose of a blueprint is to provide a “well thought out and coordinated plan of action” for economic development and transportation improvements. The firm or team of firms selected would conduct market analyses, make recommendations for transportation and land use and hold at least three public meetings.

Proposals are due Nov. 7, with a contract expected to be awarded in January. Work would be completed by November 2015.
