TSA said it screened a total of 320,842 passengers over the Memorial Day weekend.

Some passengers waited in security lines longer than 20 minutes. But TSA said more than 91.1 percent of passengers waited less than 20 minutes in regular screening lanes, and 98.5 percent of TSA PreCheck passengers waited 10 minutes or less.

"Passenger volumes will continue to be heavy throughout the summer," according to TSA. Airport and security officials recommend that travelers get to the airport at least two hours before their flights.
