Newell Rubbermaid created a new brand of tools geared toward people who work in heating, ventilation and air conditioning and refrigeration.

The Hilmor brand was created as part of a company plan to focus growth in areas, like tools, where Sandy Springs-based Newell Rubbermaid sees more opportunities.

It is Newell Rubbermaid’s first new brand in many years, Chief Development Officer Mark Tarchetti said in a statement.

The line includes 150 tools, including a thermometer that provides two digital readings to make the calculation of superheat and subcool simpler, a compact bender that fits into close spaces and an electronic gauge with a vacuum sensor that has data for several dozen refrigerants and is color coded.
