In San Francisco on Wednesday CEO Steve Jobs unveiled a new Apple product, the iPad. It's a tablet-style computer that resembles the iPhone, but is larger.

The iPad is a tablet computer with a touch screen.

Steve Jobs says the tablet device will fill a gap between laptops and smartphones.

The iPad will start at $499, a price tag far below the $1,000 that some analysts were expecting.
