Metro Atlanta home prices rose 16.8 percent year-over-year in January, according to the S&P Case-Shiller Home Price Index.

It is the 14th straight month of double-digit price increases, but the price increases have been moderating since last April. Then, the year-over-year increase was 20.8 percent.

In the 20 cities the index tracks, prices were up 13.2 percent in January.
