McDonalds, known for its Big Macs, Happy Meals and traditional fries, is taking a shot at one of Chick-fil-A’s trademark offerings: waffle fries.

But you won’t be finding the frilly fries anywhere around here.

According to Brand Eating and other press reports, McDonald's is offering the waffle fries only in Canada as part of its holiday menu.

No plans for such fries in the U.S., according to the reports.

Other seasonal items McDonald’s has rolled out in Canada include a beef burger topped with a hash brown patty, bacon bits and cheddar cheese, and a Turtles sundae with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, pecans and chocolate and caramel candies.

Gotta build up those reserves to weather the Alberta Clippers, ya know.
