MARTA is looking to hire 50 officers for its police department and is holding a job fair Saturday to conduct interviews and take applications.

The job fair will be held 9 a.m. to noon at the agency’s headquarters, 2424 Piedmont Road N.E. in Atlanta, across from the Lindbergh Center Station.

The starting salary range is $35,600 to $40,040.

Candidates must be at least 21 and will undergo a background check that will include a polygraph exam and credit check, and a physical, including drug/alcohol screening and psychological testing.

Applicants also should have with them a birth certificate, Social Security card, driver’s license and seven-year motor vehicle report.
