The maker of the Keurig single serve coffee brewing system is scouting the Southeast for a site for a manufacturing facility, and the company is holding a job fair this week in Atlanta.

A Keurig Green Mountain spokeswoman said little about the planned factory. But last month, Atlanta-based Coca-Cola invested $1.25 billion in Vermont-based Keurig Green Mountain (formerly known as Green Mountain Coffee Roasters) to develop a cold beverage system. The partnership will develop single-serving Coca-Cola-owned products, and Coca-Cola became a minority owner of Keurig Green Mountain as part of the deal.

Keurig Green Mountain is evaluating locations across the Southeast for a factory, spokeswoman Sandy Yusen said. She declined to comment about how many jobs the company plans to create, where the facility will be built and what types of products the plant will make.

A similar job fair was held in Chattanooga in January, prior to the Coca-Cola investment announcement.

An advertisement in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said the company will hold a job fair from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the DoubleTree hotel at 3342 Peachtree Road in Buckhead (in the Tower Place complex). The company seeks candidates for plant management, engineering and mechanical positions, Yusen said.
