A Japanese auto parts supplier plans to build a new factory in west Georgia that will lead to the creation of more than 200 jobs, state officials said Thursday.

Yachiyo of America will build its factory in Carrollton Industrial Park, about 50 miles west of downtown Atlanta. Yachiyo makes plastic fuel tanks and sunroofs.

Georgia counts 250 automotive-related manufacturers in the state. The planned 130,000-square-foot factory represents an investment of $30 million, and the company plans to make its new hires over the next three years.
