Twinkies that have been battered and fried are no longer indulgent treats only found at carnivals and fairs.

Deep Fried Twinkies mark the first foray into frozen foods for Hostess. The new item will be available only at Walmart for the next three months, then will be available at other stores.

According to The Associated Press, the traditional cream-filled Twinkie is coated with a cake funnel batter,  frozen and packaged. Consumers will need to finish preparation at home. The Twinkies can be baked for six to eight minutes in the oven at 350 degrees or deep-fried for two-and-a-half to three minutes.

The cream-filled snack in vanilla or chocolate is the result of a yearlong collaboration between Hostess and Walmart, as both companies look to spark food sales with innovative products.

A box of seven has a retail price of $4.67.
