Atlanta-based retail giant Home Depot reported some disruption nationwide to its ability to process credit and debit card purchases on Saturday. But the company said the issue is not a threat to customers’ personal information.

A company spokesman said “an internal outage” slowed Home Depot’s ability to process electronic payments. Some customers paid in cash, the spokesman said, but the company continued to process electronic payments.

The issue is believed to be resolved, the company said, though it might take time for all stores to return to normal service. The spokesman said there was no security risk as a result of the outage.
