Home Depot will hold several job seminars in Georgia and nationwide as part of a new push to help members of the military transition into civilian jobs.

The Atlanta-based home improvement company is focusing its philanthropy on military veterans; its foundation has committed $80 million to veterans’ housing initiatives.

The half-day workshops, to be held Oct. 27, include resume-writing and interview tips. Members of the military or veterans can register for one of the seminars by visiting www.careers.homedepot.com/military.

The company has also created a skills translator to match military skills with job positions. It can be found on the same site.
