Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is increasing most of its parking fees effective July 1.

The airport's fees for hourly parking in the garage will increase by $1 per hour. The new rates will be $2 per hour for the first two hours and $3 for the third through sixth hours.

Rates for daily parking in the garage will increase by $2 to $16 per day.

Economy parking will now cost $3 per hour and $12 per day, up from $2 per hour and $10 per day.

Hartsfield-Jackson general manager Ben DeCosta told the Atlanta City Council in early May that the airport would increase its parking rates to boost revenue by $15.6 million. The airport announced the new rates Thursday and said it's the first increase in the parking rates since 2006.
