Atlanta will host a GSMA wireless mobility conference in September, the organization announced Wednesday.

The Mobile 360-North America conference will be held Sept. 22-23 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

London-based GSMA represents the interests of mobility operators. The conference is expected to attract handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and Internet companies, as well as representatives from financial services, healthcare, media, transport and utilities.

The conference in Atlanta will coincide with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s “Mobility Live!” an event for mobile technology developers, start-ups and decision makers.

The city’s first Mobility Live! event last year featured sessions on big data, emerging technology, media, entertainment, e-commerce and mobile marketing.

Atlanta is the only U.S. city hosting a GSMA conference this year. Others will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Busan, South Korea; Cape Town, South Africa; and Brussels, Belgium.
