Here to Serve Restaurants owner Tom Catherall and airport concessionaires gathered at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport’s Concourse B on Tuesday to celebrate the opening of Fly Burger Bar Boutique.

The “modern burger” joint is part of a massive revamp of Hartsfield-Jackson restaurants to be completed this year.

Catherall, the chef behind Atlanta-based Here to Serve’s restaurants including Shout, Twist and Noche, said it’s his first restaurant developed for an airport. “When you think of America, you think burgers,” Catherall said. “Everybody loves a burger.”

Fly Burger opened March 27 on Concourse B, serving items like a Holy Guacamole burger and the Crabby Patty made with lump crab.

“Airports are trying to elevate the experience and get away from just having a Chili’s,” said Anthony Joseph, president of Concessions International, which partnered with Catherall for Fly Burger. “It brings some pizazz to the experience.”
